Bangladesh

I wonder how time flies!! I still remember the last ICC Cricket World Cup in 2011, which took place in this subcontinent where Bangladesh also hosted 8 games. This year's World Cup will be jointly hosted by the Tasman neighbors Australia and New-Zealand.

This time Australia is hosting 26 games and New Zealand 23 games. The biggest ODI tournament is kicking off on February 14, 2015. 14 Teams participating in 2 pools. Bangladesh is in Pool A with England, Australia, New Zealand, Srilanka, Afghanistan and Scotland. Pool B consists of India, Pakistan, West Indies, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Ireland and United Arab Emirates.

Bangladesh will be playing 6 games of group stage, 4 of them will be in Australia and other 2 will be in New Zealand. Bangladesh Team will be flying to Australia on January 24, 2015. Bangladesh team's practice for World Cup has already started. Our best Player Shakib Al Hasan is in Australia for Big Bash, which would be very helpful for him in the coming days. Tamim Iqbal returned from Melbourne and will be starting practice soon.

After the disappoinments of 2011 World Cup and all the series Failures of last year, i do not think we should expect much from our Cicketers right now. Though they have come back to winning streak in the last series against Zimbabwe. I hope Bangladesh atleast reaches to the Knock-Out stage of the Tournament, and for that they must win against Afghanistan, Scotland and one other match. The amount of the talents Bangladesh have in their team is enough to win against any team. So hope to see great performances from Bangladesh Cricktet team.
